Set on over 2ha of land, this two storey three bedroom cottage, can be found at the end of the tree fern and manuka lined driveway. This property has a feeling of peace and privacy in a well-loved area of Golden Bay.
The cottage itself has an open plan living, dining & kitchen area which is heated by a wood fire, with wet back. There is a double bedroom on the ground floor which has doors leading out to the small, covered verandah. The bathroom with separate toilet & large laundry are also on the ground floor. Going upstairs, there is a single bedroom large enough for two single beds & then a large open area which is presently being used for the third bedroom. This area has large sloping ceilings with exposed timber framing.
The area surrounding the house is grassed with three water tanks (20,000 lt in total) at the back of the house and a garden/wood shed. The property is on septic tank.
There is a relatively steep track leading from the house area down to the water edges from which you can launch your kayaks or row across to the estuary in your dingy. At the other end of the property, there is a bush track where you can meander down (across the ROW) alongside a burbling stream to the beautiful Milnthorpe Estuary and then onto the beach. There are also tracks through the magical forest of Milnthorpe Reserve.
