About Sharon McConnon

As a partner at First National Golden Bay, I bring more than 30 years of real estate industry experience to my role, overseeing the company's administration and financial operations. I take pride in ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly so our team can provide the highest level of service to our clients.

My career began at the age of 16 as an administrator with Cashman, Hooker & Bensemann Accountants in Tākaka before moving to Auckland to work for United Building Society. Those early roles provided a strong foundation in administration, finance, and customer service that continues to support my work today.

Community involvement has always been important to me. I hold secretarial roles with local sporting organisations and community groups, am a Justice of the Peace, and was honoured to receive the Tasman District Council Outstanding Community Service Award in 2024 in recognition of my commitment to the Golden Bay community.

Outside of work, I've always enjoyed embracing new experiences—including completing a couple of skydives in years gone by! Whether supporting the team behind the scenes or contributing to the local community, I value building strong relationships and helping people wherever I can.
